Our Story

Fluffy Not Scruffy opened in Cotgrave in May 2023 and since opening I have received a warm welcome from everyone in the surrounding local villages which I am so grateful for. Fluffy Not Scruffy is a small local business with a passion to provide excellent care for your pooches!

I understand how important it is for owners to feel assured that their best furry friends are in safe hands. I therefore strive to create a calm and welcoming environment in the salon and understand that every dog is unique. Grooms are therefore taken at your dogs own pace, whilst ensuring lots of cuddles are provided, of course!

I use top quality shampoo and products during grooms to ensure that your pooch is getting the pamper they definitely deserve and come home looking smart and smelling amazing!

Meet The Team!

Hi, I'm Brielle and I am the owner of Fluffy Not Scruffy. I love dogs and have always grown up around them therefore I knew that working with dogs as a career would be the perfect job for me. I completed my professional grooming training in 2022 and with the support of family and friends slowly began to set up the business towards the end of my training.

I care about the welfare of your animals and seeing their happy faces walk through the salon door makes being a dog groomer a truly amazing job!

I have two family dogs, they are both cocker spaniels and are even Uncle and Nephew to one another! We have Shadow, the black Cocker Spaniel, he is definitely a little baby and loves his cuddles! Our second is Alfie, the blonde Cocker Spaniel. He is the crazy one and absolutely loves his walks!

Myself and my partner then got our Golden Retriever, Django, in March 2024. He is the silliest, goofiest (not so little) man who definitely likes to keep us on our toes! Django absolutely loves every person and dog that he meets and definitely lives up to the lovable goldie name!

Cameron

Hiya! I’m Cameron and I am a self employed trainee dog groomer working in the Fluffy Not Scruffy groom room.

I am a big dog lover and grew up with a Spinone cross Black Labrador called Truly. She was a goofy girl with a big beard and was the perfect companion on many family walks!

With the help and guidance of my best friend Brielle, the owner of Fluffy Not Scruffy, I have been able to begin learning how to groom dogs during my maternity leave, and now my daughter is nearly a year old I have been able to become a full time trainee, with my formal training beginning in January 2026.

I am excited to be working with Brielle and commencing my dream career as a dog groomer.
